ABL Group Launches New Trade Credit Insurance Division

ABL Group is now offering Trade Credit Insurance, with a new in house division integrated into the company following the acquisition of Willis Towers Watson (NI). The new specialist Trade Credit Insurance Division will be headed up by Mark McAllister who brings over 13 years of finance experience including 4 years specialising in Trade Credit Insurance.

A member of Accounting Technicians Ireland, Mark is a motivated and committed finance professional who has made it his goal to bring the important message of credit insurance to every business in Northern Ireland.

“Trade Credit Insurance provides vital protection to businesses against the impact of bad debt, caused by the failure of their customer to pay for goods or services sold on credit,” explains Mark. “This type of insurance is exceptionally useful for all levels of business from SMEs to large corporates and allows business owners and finance teams to forecast cash flow with confidence.”

Trade Credit Insurance policies can cover domestic and export sales and can even cover Political Risk where necessary.

Political risk is a specialist insurance product covering potential losses caused by government action, civil unrest or other economic or geopolitical turmoil.

“It’s fair to say that the word ‘unprecedented’ has perhaps become overused in the media in the past two years,” added Mark. “Between protests, pandemics and post-truth politics, the level of uncertainty businesses face is daunting.

“Trade Credit Insurance with Political Risk cover provides assurances that allow businesses to plan for the future with a degree of certainty.”

ABL Group’s acquisition of Willis Towers Watson brings this specialist field of insurance into our current offering and enhances it further with our unique links to the London insurance markets via our connection to GRP Group, one of the UK’s largest insurance intermediary groups.

Our team would be delighted to talk you through Trade Credit Insurance and the difference it can make to your business.
